Winter Environment Settings v2025

User-editable configuration for optimal comfort

[ENVIRONMENT]

temperature_target = 68°F  # Celsius users: 20°C
blanket_layers = 3         # Minimum recommended
sock_thickness = maximum
ambient_lighting = dim_warm
candle_count = 2-5         # Fire hazard aware

[BEVERAGE_PROTOCOLS]

hot_beverage_type = tea|coffee|cocoa|mulled_wine
temperature_preference = just_below_scalding
mug_warmth_duration = 15min  # Standard degradation
refill_frequency = as_needed
# Known issue: Humans cannot
# maintain optimal without
# occasional existential dread

[SOCIAL_PARAMETERS]

plan_cancellation_threshold = low
go_outside_motivation = minimal
preferred_company = 1-2_people|solitude
video_call_vs_in_person = video_preferred

[ENTERTAINMENT_SETTINGS]

book_reading_hours = increased
screen_time_guilt = disabled
productivity_expectations = lowered
hibernation_mode = enabled

WARNINGS:

  1. Do not over-optimize. Some cold is required for cozy to mean anything.
  2. Attempting to maintain summer energy levels will result in system failure.
  3. Guilt about low productivity is a bug in social programming, not your configuration.
  4. This config file assumes access to basic resources (shelter, heat, food). If these are not available, file is not applicable. See: mutual_aid.config

KNOWN LIMITATIONS:

  • Configuration cannot override seasonal biology
  • Optimal coziness still permits occasional melancholy
  • No setting eliminates desire for spring
  • Perfect implementation still includes difficult days

RELATED DOCUMENTATION:

  • spring.config (not yet available, estimated release: March 2025)
  • summer.config (deprecated, will not run in current environment)
  • fall.config (archived, season expired)

End configuration

Save and implement as winter permits
